Week 12 Info: Neural Networks
Week 12 has arrived!
We are going to begin three weeks of study of neural networks. We will begin by learning the simplest neural network architecture, the multi-layer perceptron, and about common techniques for fitting neural networks and the key hyperparameters, such as optimization algorithms, learning rate, dropout, activation functions, and more. We will talk about the data requirements for neural networks and the types of problems which they are best suited for. We will begin discussing alternative architectures, starting with convolutional neural nets.
